Helping You Strengthen Your SSD Application

Many people who apply for disability benefits from Social Security contact an attorney only after their claim has been denied. However, by not seeing a lawyer at the beginning of the process, you may damage your claim and make it harder to receive the benefits you need.

At the Law Office of Annette Rutkowski LLC, I know that obtaining Social Security Disability benefits can be difficult. I want to make the process as easy as possible for you. I will craft your initial SSD application in my office, file it with the Social Security Administration and give you the best possible chance of success.

With offices in Indianapolis, I represent clients throughout central, western and southern Indiana.

Representing Those Facing Serious Health Problems

My clients are people who have worked hard all of their lives but are now unable to due to their health. These people are in their 50s and early 60s and suffer from chronic, progressive health problems.

I can help you recover disability benefits if the following conditions have not allowed you to work:

  • Advanced musculoskeletal issues (including back injuries, joint dysfunction, etc.)
  • Autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and Crohn’s disease
  • Liver diseases, including autoimmune hepatitis
  • Cancer and the long-term health impacts of cancer therapies
  • Lung diseases
  • Diabetes
  • Heart diseases
  • Obesity
  • Mental illnesses
  • Chronic pain

I also represent clients who have never been able to work, including young adults who have severe physical and mental challenges.

Providing Personal Legal Advice

I believe it’s important for me to meet you personally so that you can get to know me and I can get to know you.

During your free initial consultation, I will give you an honest assessment of your case to make sure you are qualified for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) before you apply. I will also provide information about Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act so you can receive the health care services you need to improve your health.

Once you apply for Social Security Disability, the review process usually takes about 120 days, although the Social Security Administration initially denies many of these claims. If your claim is denied, I will help you complete a request for reconsideration. If your request for reconsideration is denied, as is the case for most applicants, your next step is to request a hearing before a federal administrative law judge.
